I've got a multi channel secuirty DVR system, it comes with some software to view it remotely (live, playback etc. direct from the hard drive and dvd drive on the dvr) as far as I can see it talks to the dvr ove port 5000 and the video is streamed accross port 5001 I'm just wondering if this is some kind of standard and if there are any web applets that I can use to stream the video instead of the shitty app that comes with it?

Any help would be appreciated.
