Anybody use one?

I've got a 1tb sata drive hooked up to ide using a converter.

Just tried to install something and its telling me there's no disc space left, files on drive only add up to about 400gb.

Drive shows as 1tb in windows, only thing I can think of is a funky problem with the converter but finding out means going up in the loft, which I'll end up needing to do, though I'd ask first.

Anybody came across it before?

The drive could be incorrectly displaying the amount of data free- I can't see it displaying more than what's actually on there though!?

You could put the serial and model number into the manufactures RMA to see if it's a dodgy or not.

Got to the bottom of it.

Something, I've no idea what, had created a 500+GB file that wasn't visible to anything until I dl some file viewer program.

Completely random, never seen anything like it.
