I stripped the interior and today filled up, spilt a small amount of petrol beneath the filler cap. I wiped it off with a rag and set off again, about 10-15 minutes later, I can still smell petrol, is there a potential leak of fumes somewhere? Me & the missus don't smoke but when I'm working on the car, if I scraped a tool on some metal in the fumes..

Id check to see if you have knocked the petrol tank plastic cap that sits underneath the rear seats. Can whiff abit see if the smell is coming from there.
