recently purchased a astra tds isuzu lump done white ring mod,straight through exhaust,turned fuel pump up half a turn.just fitted me boost gauge and its reading 2bar is this stock or not ?

no should be about 0.8.bar standard

well at 4.500rpm in 5th boost gauge saying 2bar nearly 2.1bar lmao no bleed valve on it either,turbo never been messed with that a know of either

i ran mine for about 9 months goin off my boostgauge which went to 30 psi, never had problems lol went like stink to haha

yer i think i had mine nearly bob on fuel mix, was a really good cheap reliable laugh lol deffo going to have another in a nova van or somthing

the isuzu lump runs 7psi standard (just under 0.5 bar) there is a small black pipe that goes from the turbo to the actuator . get under neath the car and check for splits or if its even there . if the pipe isnt there it will run full boost and you will hear the safety valve popping all the time .. you could leave it but i suggest turning the pump up if you do (see 1.5td tuning guide on here)

yer goes in mate.. i didnt give a fcuk about my engine as i won the car cheap on ebay and droped it into a non runner corsa which i also got very cheap.. i welded the safty valve up haha and a bolt up the actuator pipe, cleaned up all the turbo etc, ran a filter pritty much straight from the turbo and welded up a bigger bore exhaust.. was a little wepon for £300 total

pluss i weighed in the car it came with pluss the scrap engine.. then i sold it after 9 months for £300 so not bad at all lol
