My car is having an overhaul at the moment and I'm taking the a/c out as the previous owner had the rad changed for a regular one so it doesnt work.. As far as I can see, ditch all the pipes, new engine mount for non a/c models and a new aux belt is whats needed...

you need a full new mount (1.4 sports are common with pas and no a/c) look for one with a sunroof in a scrappy as they dont really have a/c, you need to take the scuttle off and glove box to get everything out, then blank some big holes up behind the glove box/under the scuttle, its easier than it sounds tbh

I've done all that also and like u say it aint really that hard 2 do, is the engine mount part of a/c pump mount then ? Cos i took bout 6 bolts out of the pump and it was still solid grr lol

Thanks the main reason for removing it is so i can get a bigger glovebox, save a bit of weight & so my rad gets a bit more cold air to it.

ive taken the a/c out of my car and didnt have to take the mount off or change it i just ran the belt across the pulleys a different way but you defo need a new belt, measure the distance around the pulleys with a piece of string and go to your nearest motorman/halfords and they can get the right size belt for u, i think the belt i used was PK6 1258. around that size. hope this helps
