Samsung ht c6500
Any good? Can get one for free of it's worth a shot. Currently have a panasonic bd35 with a crappy surround system that doesn't even read Sts.
Please don't bother suggesting other makes as this is a special thing at work that I can pick up for free if it's any good that is otherwise I get other choices

If its free you might as well get it. You could always sell if you didn't like it? I bet it'd be fine.

http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/4780/samsung-ht-c6500-bluray-review
seems very well specced for an all in one system, deffo if its free kind of a no brainer really
handles 24p output and the newer HD audio codecs aswell as built in wifi ect.

Yeah it means I can bin my 2 box system which is outdated I read a couple of very brief and unhelpful reviews but seemed positive I'm just wary of samsung as when looking at TVs they always appear good value but always had shit contrast ratios et.
If I get it I get nothing else from the incentive, I can get lots of other things if I dot choose this

I disgaree
They are very cheaply made and there are far better sets out there
Also just buy an LG if you want Samsung as LG make their panels

Samsung make their S-PVA panels in conjunction with Sony. These are used in a few other brands as well, but the actual manufacturer is jointly owned by Sony and Samsung.
LG and Phillips used to share on some models.
Pana their own IPS
LG makes IPS panels as well but most of them are >30"

There's nothing wrong with S-LCD panels, I have two (one Samsung and one Sony) and they're perfect.

Had my Samsung for well over 3 years now with no problems apart from the speakers are crap. That seems to have been sorted on the newer models that I have seen/listened to.

Had my Samsung LCD for nearly 4 years without any problems.
My parents have had their Samsung plasma for 3 years without any problems.
Always some bad apples amongst them.
