Spotted on CableForum a few days ago Virgin Media accidentally leaked out they were upgrading 20Mb users, well it's now online - one off £30 charge for the SuperHub if you don't already have it

Current modems, Ambit's/Cisco's, will do the 30/3 so i'm a bit confussed to why they want you to spend £30 on a all-in-one jobby. Think i'll wait a few months, chances are they bump my current 20Mb line anyways like previous upgrades.
Edit - Apparently VM have force everyone onto bonded channels on anything over 20Mb, so you need a Docsis 3 modem

Phone up and ask them to replace it, there's a good chance they might swap with a super hub. I did that about 6 months ago, but they were replacing them with Cisco (Docsis 2) units
Watson - Best bet is to keep an eye on cableforum.co.uk. Although i don't think anything is in the pipeline at the moment to upgrade 10Mb users; most likely busy with the upload upgrades and 100Mb rollout.

Nothing has been "accidently" leaked, i've been telling customers this since the end of last year. Also, why on earth would you spend £30 on the superhub? All techs on faults have now been told to switch all modems to superhubs for customers on XL package for free mate.

I'm just going off what CableForum said pal.
Just had a look on the VM website and to upgrade from 20Mb to 50Mb they want £20 (activation) and an extra £5 a month - anyway of getting the activation fee waived (still got 2 months of the 12 month contract left)

Really? I thought it was just the 20mb customers getting upgraded.
I'll hold off on paying the £30 for now - I've got to pay £89 to upgrade to Tivo next month(ish)...
