basically had shite connection speeds for the past 4 months basically hadny bin above 0.5mbs and today it was 0.35mbs and everytime i have tried to call they have bin closed anyway they are open to day so just spoken to 1 person as me asking why and he and because im not the account holder he couldnt tell me but anyway he did something and now im getting 1.3mbs which is apparently the maximum for this line.

so called again pretending to be my dad to ask why it was shite and basically they didnt have an answer

anyway just weird how they make your connection shite until you call.

0.3 to 1.3 is a bit of a difference.

EDIT
See my last post.

How long have you been with them? because if you have been with them more than your 12month contract you have the rights to cancel.

or just say you have been with them for 6 month and you have 6 months left you'd have to pay for that 6months left then you can cancel

I have just been thinking how to word all that for the last 10 minutes

I was with Tiscali and on the day my contract ended I rung them up and ask for the mac code. Tiscali was an absolute joke of a service the customer service/technical support, the speeds 2 or 3 meg max for a year on an supposed 8 meg line . I have been with BT for 2 days now and I seem to be getting an average of 6 meg.

I can also vouch for Tiscali being absolute shite, customer service is non existant, download speeds are ridiculous, i have a 6mb capable line but average download speed is 0.3mb

looking for new isp right now!

Was in the paper last week about them being shite.

I used to be with them. They would deny anything was wrong and cut your connection right down.

yeh i can see another phone call to them tonight to ask for a mac code tbh.

what are the costs involved in swapping to a different provider? (o2 more than likely)

do we have to pay to have anything disconnected or anything stupid.

No, Just ask for your mac code and cancel tiscali. Call up O2 and tell them you want to purchase and give them the mac code.
