My headgadket went on my 1.4 8v last night! How hard is this to change for a beginner? I know a bit about engines but not much so any helP would be good

pretty much straight forward and easy especially on the 8 valve, timing could be confusing if not expierenced before though as said try a haynes manual ?

Don't do it by yourself if you're not 100% sure, at least have someone there that knows what needs doing.

Timing is easy anyway, just make sure you put it to TDC where the marks are and do not move anything, do the HG and make sure the marks are still at TDC put timing belt on, crank it by hand, if ok start it up.
