Basically i bought a corsa sport very cheap with bottem end failure, stripped it down today and its only the " little " ends that have gone ( the ones on the piston ) it hasnt scored the crank atall either.
I was wondering will all vx engines have the same size shells ?
this is a x14xe
will a 1.2 8v / 1.4 8v shell fit ?
cheers

its probably different between certain models type in on ebay and it usually lists a set of shells and what particular models it will cover, when i wanted some big end shells for my 1.2 16v it listed on ebay that they'd fit 1.6 8v astra mk3 or something random like that
worth a nosey on ebay anyways

Hmmm I can see one problem...they dont have little ends....the gudgeon pins sweated on the rod so only piston moves on pin. So if ther is play in little end then ur rods are more than likely fucked.

I class them as " little ends " the real term is big ends and the " bigger ends " are the main bearing.
apparently.
