fitted my linkage today on my corsa and i cant get reverse, 1st, 3rd or 5th, think its because the linkage is hitting the steering rack, am i doing something wrong??

also i cant get the castle nuts on my shafts, there the right nuts but i think the first thread is a bit naff on the shafts, if i cut them down slightly will that work?

What linkage parts are you using?

As for the ends of the shafts, yeah it should be ok to lop the end off just be careful about damaging the rest of the thread. maybe just try and taper the end with a file 1st

I believe its an lmf short shift conversion part mate. I think I'll try and cut them as I had no luck filing them.
