How terrible is it likely to be?
Our general area/street seems to sell pretty quickly but with most things (like selling a car) it'll take a bit of a downturn over Christmas I'd think.
Anyone have experiences of summer and christmas selling?

I have no personal experience of selling a house over Christmas, but they still seem to be selling very quickly round our area at the moment. This could well be because there aren't that many on the market to choose from.
Personal experience of selling cars at main dealerships around Christmas was great. I found that lots of people had got everything sorted for Christmas and then had holiday time on their hands. They would often come to look at cars and purchase without much hassle. I sold a car every Christmas Eve that I was working as a car salesman.

we always look at houses around xmas time as thats when there are most likely to be repo's or cheap houses around in this area.

we have had a surge up to November and then nothing on our house
I don't expect it to get any better until after Christmas but it only takes one I suppose
We are out the country for most of December so my sights are on new year now

Wouldn't be any issue selling it as it's unlikely that you could complete the purchase before Christmas now in which case the move wouldn't be until the new year

My girlfriends sister sells new builds, took home 3000 in bonuses last month, almost a record for her, december will be about average, january dropps off a bit. They are new builds though

What does 3k equate to in houses? That could be 100 houses or 3 houses.
