Best way to Paint my block and how do i get rid of the dirt oil ect

Engine degreaser from Halfords, apply, agitate with a brush and hose off. Then apply Hammerite with a brush. Thats how I did mine anyway.

Thanks mate What type of degreaser did you have as iv got the foam stuff and it aint that good

I use Gunk, worked with a tooth brush then hosed off. Worked a treat.

Here's how mine turned out, had it piping hot and the finish is still just as good You can use high temperature paint too which is supposed too with stand the heat better but hammerite seems to do the job fine.
