Take the HT leads out and check them for damage. Try to look and see exactly where the spark is coming from and when you know tackle it from there or post it up, ie. is it coming from the metal box itself or from a wire going into it etc

is it a coilpack or distributor?
Could be the leads or the coilpack insulation cracked.
I'd plug leads in, and run engine and spray some water mist on it, looks for sparks leaping out or between the leads etc

Yeah WD40 if you take off the caps on the coilpack, give all a good spray, then try and get it up to temp, which should dry out the rest. If you've got a Sport then it will have a coil pack, mine did the same a few times, when I had a few wet days because I don't drive my cars every day.

It's a sport, only use it on a wed and Friday, plus it's got a bra so, happened the odd time when it was wet but now it's constant, leads look ok, tiny bit if rubber missing on one of them

You might need a new set of leads then, if bits of rubber is breaking off.
