Got one, great.
3G only uselful if you might suddenly need a book in the middle of another country, which most people don't.
Don't get worldwide internet browsing with the new 3G ones either before someone says you do.

I'm getting my old man one for Christmas, but just the Wi-Fi one.
Whats the crack with the 3G one. Is a seperate contract/sim needed for data?

so 3g is only for buying books when you're not using your home internet connection?
if that's the case, i'll just get the cheaper one.

Comes with built in sim.
Yip, just for accessing the store from anywhere.

My 3g model worked for Facebook, Gmail, etc in Turkey in September. Have they stopped this now?

Na, the original 3G ones will always work with web as far as I'm aware.
They do refurbished ones for cheap and you couldn't even tell they were refurbs. They come with all boxes, wrapping, etc. and the best bit is they have web access for life from anywhere in the world. I think they're a steal for that alone, granted it's not full on web, etc. but good for mailing on the move and basic websites.
