I just bought one of these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260934877937?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I know its cheap and I'm not expecting great quality but after testing it today I was disappointed because it skips frames on play back I'll try to get a vid tomorrow to demonstrate

I've been looking on youtube for videos on similar priced ones and they seem fine.

I'm using a mini sd card in an adapter to make it full sd size if that makes any difference?

Any idea what could be causing it?

I don't know if you remember the post a couple of years back about the little keyfob style mini cams, some people had a similar issue with them which was due to low quality mini sd cards that came included with some cameras so it's probably the card itself or the adapter where the problem lies.

What class is the Sd card? Does it have a 2 on it?

Probably not fast enough.

That's it. Best of having a look at what other people are using but if it's doing 720p you'll need at least class 6 I think.

Depends on codec/bitrate.

1080P could exceed 6MB/s by many times.

Well I have filming at @ 20mb/s and the card hit a write speed of 6Mb/s show should should and has been working fine. Doubt that camera will be recording at more than that
