My windscreen wipers only work on the fastest setting, and even then they don't "park" in the correct place.

Is this likely to be an MOT failure?

It's not te setting that makes me think it's bad.

It's just from their POV it could stop and block vision temporarily and aid as a distraction.

As said above its probably jut the stalk, cheap enough brand new on eBay

Wiper blades that park automatically in a position which obscures the view are a fail.

Can't find anything related to the speed of the sweep.

My research has suggested it needs a new motor, I'm trying to avoid spending any money on it as I'm only putting it through an MOT to sell it.

It does park in a position which obscures the view, looks like I'll need to fix it then. Damn.

Thanks folks.

I'm going to try and do it myself using a motor from a scrap yard.

Do I need new linkages as well? Or is it all one unit?

test motor before you buy new one, take scuttle pannel off, find pos and neg wires, connect battery to them and see if motor moves.. saves spending money on something if you dont need it

There's one on eGay for £25 delivered which is supposedly in working order. I might just take a punt.
