Doubt it, more likely the mp3/m4a that's of bad quality. Are they YouTube rips by any chance?

Nah, from Tubidy so probably the same format. Would the gold ones (jack to jack) work better or just a rip off?

"Put shit in, get shit out!"

If you're after streaming then Spotify or Grooveshark would be a good start. Otherwise just nab tracks/albums in decent quality - Soulseek or Torrents/Usenet (albums).

Yeah it'll most certainly be the quality of the music, the difference between 192kbps and 320kbps is unreal

Best off downloading them to the laptop first, not sure if it compresses them for phones. I use utorrent tbh which is free then search the torrents using isohunt

Basically try to download something higher quality, what you're downloading is probably a bit crap in an effort to make the files nice and small. Do what Dom said a couple of posts up, buy your music from Amazon or similar or rip the music from a CD before transferring it across to your phone. Using a different cable isn't going to make much difference in this case.

I normally try and make sure if i download music its in FLAC i think it works out about 1058kpbs most my music is straight onto mp3 players on headphones though.
