I'm off to Australia for a year as of next week so will be wanting to use an Oz sim in it during my stay.

I'd imagine I'll have to unlock it to do this.

If so, how so and how much?

Check out the jailbreak thread on here mate, I'm sure everything you need to know is in there. Also if you remember let me know how you got on with it as I have the exact situation coming up.

Or rather than pissing about with that...

Phone your supplier (o2, voda etc) And say you need you phone unlocking due to travelling, they'll charge you £10-15 max and you can then use any sim.

this definitely.. I always look at jailbreak unlock as final last resort
