Chaps,
My piece of shite router finally died (Technicolor TGN) and time for a new one.
On BT Infinity with a LAN box, 3 PC's 2 Laptops, Xbox, TV, VOIP phones, Etc lots of wifi devices used.
Needs to have a decent range as this is an old house and previous one has issues.
£100-130 budget. Mate has offered his Home Hub5 for a trial. Got to be used for VOIP though which means SIP ALG needs disabling (I think? Not even sure what it means tbh)
What's good to get and what's best avoided?

I hate the way data is full of so many acronyms. Been slowly gettin taught over the last few months alongside doing my regular work in my day job.
I'll ask the data lads in work on Monday see if they can help. They're usually pretty good

Isn't the Technicolor TGN an ADSL router? Surely if you've got BT Infinity then you should have a VDSL router or at least a separate VDSL modem (Openreach etc)? 
SIP ALG is essentially package inspection of SIP (VOIP) packets and attempts to help with firewalling but it's mostly a pain in the backside. Either way, you can easily disable it from within the HH5 settings.
Personally i'd recommend a Draytek 2860 but it's out of your budget (around £200-260 depending on model). If it is BT Infinity/VDSL then an Openreach modem and then whatever (cable) router would be solution, although a HH5 would be the easiest option especially if it's free

I've got a Linksys Business Access Point Dual Band AC1200 Router and it's been awesome. Signal is way better than the Sky router it replaced. It's rock solid without a single reboot since I got it. Massively configurable if you want to
Managed to get it from Amazon for £90 instead of the normal ~£120

Dom yes I have an open reach box on the wall. No idea what the VDSL bit is but as I get fibre speeds I would assume it's that 
This router was replaced as last one was faulty like for like I'll grab the model name.
I have just borrowed a HH5 and it won't accept my username and password, I'm on BT but it's via another supplier so I don't think it will authenticate 
Yep that is a touch out of my price range, what's the advantage over the lesser stuff?

I only have good things to say about Negear routers and fit in with your budget.
Howver, Draytek are bullet proof but will cost you around £200 for a 2860.
