can i screw it down directly to the floor plan? what kind of screws do you use if you can?
If not, what else can be used to secure the floor... My floor jumps when the car goes over bumps and that.

I was wondering the same thing. I was at first thinking of velcroing the false floor carpet to the original floor carpet but think screwing it down may be the only way to secure it properly. This would also annoy me if I needed the spare too.

im gonna velcro it
remove your carpet and 'adhere' the velcro strip to the metlwork. Stick the other bit on the bottom of the false floor, SORTED.
It wont come out like that.
If u really want it permanent dont use screws, just use no more nails!

why not get some 2-3" bolts, drill a hole put some paint on the hole (stop rust) then bolt down finally put a bit or silicon on under side to stop moisture entering.
velcro's not a bad idea actually, surprisingly strong

yeah i've used velcro before and it is suprisingly strong, i just wasn't sure how others had done it. Drilling does seem a pain though!

mine is very well made and fits by locking the two halfs of it together
the carpet is made from black material glued to a foam base so it will fit in in one peice but wont roll up around the edges
finding black carpet big enough to do the full boot in 1 bit is a nightmare
