So I started removing my door strips today, got the strip off no problem, removed the adhesive without too much difficulty as well. But now I'm left with a strip of funny pale coloured paint, just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue and if so, how did they solve it?
I've tried intensive T-cutting / polishing with little to no success.
Bizarrely you can sort of see the paint through whatever this stuff is..

I've heard people saying before that sometimes it can be moisture underneath the paint and putting a heat gun on it can solve it. Just don't go mad as you could burn the paint.
If that's unsuccessful then the only way is to get it painted unfortunately

Its condensation strangely! happened with mine, like said, use a heat gun but be careful and don't hold it in one place for to long as it will melt the paint! Then you will be in for a re-spray
Mine took longer than a few seconds but it was fine after

That's a relief! I was contemplating putting it back on
I'm just about to sit down to dinner but I'll go back out and have a go with the heatgun straight after, will post pics of the results too. Thanks guys.

Just went out with the heatgun and had a go at clearing this streak up and it was a great success. 30 seconds of waggling and the line disappeared!
Took off the rear quarters trim as well which had the same thing under it but armed with my heatgun I took that on no problem.
Here's how she's looking now:

Still can't decide whether I like what I've done though
Any suggestions for the rectangles where my badges were?
Cheers for the help

Yeah, you're right, I had another go over and got rid of the last bits.
Lowering is in the works, with these wheels and tires especially it looks really high haha
