I will without a doubt be putting a 2litre 16v engine in my corsa C hopefully before xmas.

2 questions: Will the standard shocks and apex springs be enoug to support the additional weight?

Plus im getting some 17's to replace my 15's at that time too...

Question is...the car has been lowered say 40mm on 15's ....will the distance be lesser or greater when i put 17's on?

Thanks again
Ian

15s to 17s, depends on the profile of the tyres.

If you have thicker tyres on 15s and thinner tyres on the 17s, chances are the size difference wont be as much. Its only 2 inches. Or 1inch higher off the floor

No he won't. He could use a redtop if he wanted it would just be harder to fit.

Ive heard of the redtop being used with the ecotec gearbox as it has a hydraulic clutch so shouldnt be 2 hard i reckon!

BUt the wiring's gunna be a pain as I'm sure the Corsa C's use 1 wire for more than 1 signal, whereas redtops use 1 wire per signal.
Would be a bit less common than the Corsa A/B redtop conversion tho

the cars that i work on have over 7 ecus... 2 for the engine (1 for each bank) 2 for the fuel pumps, 1 for each door, 1 for the airbags, 1 for the genral elecronics in the car then loads for options, i.e. sat nav, parking sensors, phone etc

will be very costly and is harder than u think as can bus is very complex if u must have a big 16v go for the 2.2 from astra coupe/ veccie much more doable and caompatable with can bus as for z20let conversion if the base car is a1.0 12v some of the wireing in the multi plugs is the same for the let so not much wirein is needed still a pain in the arse with the cable gear change conversion
