Is it a manifold?

I'm lookin for one but don't fancy payin regal £800 for it. There must be somewhere does em cheaper.

if its the mantzel one then power comes in from 5,500rpm up to 7,500rpm, very good investment for any 1.4/1.6 16v engine, first engine mod u should do, gains u a genuine 19-20bhp!

Ay as mark says they are good, but slow off the mark, there is little to no power up to 5500RPM then vvvvvrrrrrrooommmm, if ya listen to the engine as soon as it hits its power band the engine note changes and sounds sweet, I carnt complain at my one

mine was like that before but since the 1.6 has been in with cams it has power from 3.5k

So how easy are these to fit? Do you need to buy any extra parts?

I won't be buyin one for a few weeks yet but was thinkin about takin my current manifold off then just puttin it back on, just to see whats involved.

I'm bored as fuck really cos i'm on holiday from work this week!

i also have one, like greasemonkey says ye seem to loose power low down but it screams higher up the revs.

its a little bit tricky as u need to remove all the inlet system, take a few hours to dio it, should come with everything needed

relatively easy to fit.....get rid of huge useless twisty turny standard manifold and the mantzel bolts on direct to the lower inlet manifold as ye can see in the pics, throttle attaches to the side and the necessary plumbing should be explained to you in a diagram if you dont know where every thing goes already

you can not get lemaux manifolds from regal, which i would go with myself, but you get a full fitting kit with the abouve inlet.

you'll need a software remap tho

Depends if ya got a C16XE then the lower inlet manifold has to come off and be swapped for a X16XE one with blanking plates for the EGR, when i did mine, mine is a C16XE it took me a good, 14-15 hours

Mantzel need a higher rev limit and a map ideally, 7500ish RPM and the fueling adjusted, i have a Mantzel Superchip, and it causes overfueling at low RPM, i need a mapp soon man cos i aint benefiting completely from my mods

similar performance to the manzel, apart from on the c16xe whe nthe manzel performs better! the lexmaul is differnt to the others, if is only a replacement upper half, it gives power mid range unlike the manzel which gives it peek revs

So it's reccomended to get a Mantzel then going of everones views. I've got a X16XE with De-Restricted Air Box with K&N panel filter and Full Stainless De-Cat, would y'all reccomend a Mantzel for my next mod. Andy.
