I know its been covered a lot. But just want to know the pros and cons of both of them. Which has better variety of games and is an all round better console. I know i will get a lot of biased views and if you have one of them you'll probably say to get that. If someone has both then which would you choose?

Nath has both, about the only person who has I think
I like my PS3, others like their 360 - barely anything between them now, just depends on what games take your fancy TBH.

360 has a bigger variety of games at the moment, although this wont be the case for ever, both will end up with equal amounts after a while.
360 has a much better online system but costs you £30 a year

My boss has both...
Xbox 360 - Better online, better games titles (currently)
PS3 - easier to use, less noise, no add ons to buy
Wants to sell his elite and HD DVD drive!
Thats his opinions on both

gta was never and has never been exclusive to the Playstation - GTA was first out on the pc, GTA2 was the first released version to be ported to any console (playstation and game boy).
to be honest, both have there pros and cons, depends what you're after

Indeed.
The 360 is the best one at the moment, as in now.
But the PS3 will probably overtake it at some point. It's only been out a few months, the games will come.
Depends if you can afford a 360 now, and PS3 in a few months.
My 360 gets played more at the moment.
Doesn't mean its better though IMO.
Play both, then decide.

Love my PS3 tom
Although it is a fair point that there are more readily availiable games for the 360 at the moment

Whats gonna happen then? Developers are gonna stop making games for the 360 and let the Ps3 catch up?

Ps3 is more reliable.
360 has issues with overheating and also destroying discs.
360 is better online but as steve says you need to pay for it where as ps3 network is totally free.
Now the 360 has the better games out.
pS3 has some nice titles 360 will not have and vise versa. If your mates have 360 get that if they have ps3 get that.

iv had two 360's neither have damaged any discs, overheating was an issue, but the elite is ok, and thats what i have now.

With the 360, I think you may be at risk of scratching your discs if you attempt to rugby pass the console to your friend whilst it's switched on, playing a game.
