Looking into getting one of the above. Can't decide between either of them. I know one has a better choice of games than the other but its which one to go for.
Didn't even think of looking at the Wii as i've played one and didn't like it at all.

Just get whatever your mates have tbh.
P.s. PS3 doesn't cost 'alot more', Live isn't £25 a year either.

Officially buying it from Microsoft it's 39.99 for a year. But it's available for much cheaper if you do a bit of hunting. I've seen it for 23 quid for 13 months on Ebay.

Not much difference, other than Blu-ray on the PS3, and the obvious game exclusives.
Comes down to which ones your mates play.
But iPlayer on the PS3 is a feature
But if your after it soley for gaming, then the 360.
Have got both.

ive played on an xbox and i prefer the PS3.
PS3
+ Blueray DVD
+ Free Online Gaming
+ Web Browsing
+ BBC Iplayer
+ Interchangeable HDD
+ Majority of ALL USB devices work (G25 Steering Wheel)
+ Bluetooth Controllers
+ Quiet Running
+ Gran Turismo 5
+ PSP Compatibility
+ Controllers last a good couple of hours before a recharge + no batteries needed
+ WiFi
+ Optical Output straight into Surround Sound System
- Have to buy a separate Bluetooth Mic (£20)
- More expensive to buy
Xbox
+ Interchangeable HDD
+ Bluetooth Controllers
+ Forza, 2 and 3
+ Cheaper to buy
- PPM (Pay Per Month) Online Gaming
- Have to buy a separate Bluetooth Mic (£20)
- More people report RRoD (Red Ring of Death)
- No Blueray DVD
- Noisey Runnig
- No Optical output for surround sound
- Seperate Wireless adaptor required for wireless connection to net
- Controllers require batteries or seperate power pack can be bought at additional cost
i cant think of anymore atm, and i cant add in that xbox has better online gameplay because i cant see how its better.. your on the game, your playing whats different?
it also depends what your mates have, and which controller feels better in your hands.

My mates ps3 was well loud, plus how gay is it that you HAVE TO install games If you CHOOSE TO install them on the xbox it would be near on silent.

That's a good point actually the PS3's failure rate seems to be a little worrying, especially since 'likely to RROD' tends to be a minus point used against the xbox by PS3 owners.
At least Microsoft seem to have gotten their act together in terms of more reliable new boxes and free repairs to older ones. Fuck paying someone a hundred quid to fix a PS3.

When do you HAVE to install games on the ps3? Just put in the disc and it runs, quietly.
Anyways, i've always preferred playstations, so got one of them, I use it for the full media thing, so made it worthwhile for me.
I bought an xbox, and it was just left in the room and never played on it. So sold it on. I'm not a fan of online stuff in general, so the free PSN is fine with me

Nobody I know has paid for a new PS3 or for a repair on a PS3. They all had them swapped, hassle free.
But yeah, as you were fanboy.
Oh and I went through 3 Xbox360's in 3 years. And my PS3 is now 23 months old and has never so much has frozen on me..
But yeah, as you were.
Funny how 360 gayers are so defensive over them, yet PS3 people don't bother fighting their corner. 360 fanboys = cocks.
I had both, now have a PS3. And like I say, get whatever your mates have as it's fun that way.

Cavey when I had a Ps3, every demo I downloaded needed to be installed and the majority of my games needed to be installed before i could play them, Devil may cry 4 was the worst, took the piss that did.

I've had to install some stuff and I don't get the big deal. Takes like 5 mins. No idea why the PS3 does it, but a reason not to get one? Hell no.

Demos do, yeah, but i've not had a game that NEEDS installing, unless it requires an update, and then you can cancel the update and carry on regardless anyway?
Unless you mean save data, and not installing the game itself to the HDD?
TBF, I've only played probably 20-30 ps3 games, so don't have a very wide range to compare to, if it needs installing, just shove SSN on for a few mins and it'll be done.

Thats strange, I think only one or 2 of the games I had on my ps3 didnt require an install when I first put the disk in.. Devil may cry 4 install took about 20 minutes iirc..
it wasnt much of an issue, as you say. just a bit of an inconveniance when you buy a new game and you can't play it immediately, but on xbox you can.

Loading times were shit, everything was shit.
You guys paid 3 times the price for a bag of spanners I love how ps3 owners arguments against 360's also apply to their consoles lol losers

I might have just not noticed to be honest with you, like I said, if something pops up, press x and turn the tv back on, come back to it a few mins later, thought it was generally when they needed updates, probably wrong though.

Calm down Nath I didn't know you had that much emotional investment in this issue. I'll be sure to sing the praises of the PS3 in future to avoid offending you.
