Anyone been a victim of this the last couple of weeks. Mine got banned today, can't really be angry as i knew the risks
Got my worth out of it though, flashed for 18months.
May buy a new one now and because i only play 2 or 3 games, just buy genuine copies, can always keep my banned xbox for offline play on pirate copies

A mate of mine was trying to me to get mine flashed, says its fine etc.
He got banned last week for playing mw2 .

TBH, he's stupid for playing it before it's out
I didn't, just was a victim of them doing a search and finding mine, no big deal though, will buy a new one this week

Nearly everyone with a flashed box got banned, if not yet they will do. My friend got banned without even playing a copied game so they must be detecting the firmware now. Glad I kept my warranty, and iv got a couple spare for online only.

What exactly happens when you get banned? Does the console just stop working or does it work off line only :S

just stops you signing into live
mine got banned too. pain in the arse.
i'll get a cheap one of ebay just for MW2 and forza 3 online

mmm wonder if mine is banned, aint been on it for few weeks. been flashed about 7months but only play verified steathled games. will have to see

mine are all stealthed mate. seems to be pretty random as to circumstances around how people are getting banned

Mate of mine got banned the other day, he wasn't too fussed, meant he could play MW2 a week early now and not bother worrying about it.
He'd not played anything naughty online either, so they must of checked when downloading an update or something, he only chipped his box a week or so ago.
Apparently they do a cull every november?
People can hardly complain about it though

Apparently c4eva(guy who made the firmware) said they are detecting firmware now so everyone with a flashed 360 will be banned, but he is making a new firmware ixteme lite or something.

From this new wave of banning, and people with stealth firmware getting banned, i don't think people will be able to stop it because this new firmware is supposed to do the same that the old one was. I think if they really want to they can ban everyone whenever they choose
They just choose to do it annually around this time when the best titles come out, forcing the people who have just been banned, to buy a new console to play the games. Plus how many people that get banned once, will buy a new one and flash it risking it again

And I hit the little button that said "connect to xbox live"
I looked at my screen
And I shouted abuse
"Banned for violation of the terms of use""
