Been offered a nice figure for my 9700 by a colleague at work.
Fed up with battery pulling everyday because of os6.
Shall I get a Torch? I Like the screen but unsure on res and the weight of it.
Pls help me decide

My g/f brother got one of these and returned it because he said he couldn't go online with it? I just presumed he was an idiot. You know what he meant? I thought the BB service thing was just for the messenger?

Missus has the Torch and she loves it, she is however female and technologically retarded.
Battery seems to last her forever though

Brett sounds like he's an idiot. Need the BIS package to go online usually costs extra.
It's going to be replaced later this year. This will be an uber cheap 18m deal I will probably cancel after 12. So if it lasts me 12months then bonza worst case scenario I will hate it and swop for a 9780 and be happy.

Fair enough. He's gay too, so he's a gay idiot, for the record.

The weight does bother me. But there's nothing else I want. If I get a 9780 it has to be black, that's the second option. Torch is a tad more exciting than the bold I guess.
I might order it now!

Yeah but Jambo and I are running OS6 on the bold 9700 which was built with OS5 in mind. Suffers quite bad memory leak and you need to batt pull once a day.
Works fine on the 9780 though as its had hardware upgrades.

James if you get the torch let me know what you think, we seem to have similar tastes in phones and i still dont know whether to wait for the new bold or get the torch.

New bold looks fantastic but it will be too big for me as this is a second phone remember. I'm still not 100% convinced as weight and the fact it isn't White is putting me off

I lost track...what have you ordered, a Torch? I was contemplating changing to one of them but with the second one looming I may hang on a wee bit

Yeah ordered a Torch.
Its not my only phone so not really fussed about screen res and spy shots show it silver which looks nasty. If I sell my 9700 it's worth good money so makes sense for me.
I wish I didn't have to wait for it now
