whats behind the tiny glove box in a sport? is it something to do with the a/c or abs?

want a bigger glove box for the lass to store her rubbish in

Ac, if you remove that you will need to block the massive hole it leaves with something or you will have a swimming pool for a car! lol

Its not that hole that is the issue, There is two holes in the top of that area which are about 20cm square.

I thought I had a pic but I can't find.

The one in the second picture is where the pipes are plumbed in, there is a big square hole where the cabin filter is.

That will need to go too because there is then nothing to bolt that too once the ac unit has gone.

Basic jist is, Remove the big box, Block the two holes in the scuttle, Block that hole in the above pic, Plus a smaller hole or two further down. Then to do the job properly you need to fit a pollen filter holder from a non-aircon model, this also stops water getting into the matrix/heater blower.

I think thats it, Been a long time since I did mine.

its the heater matrix, its been removed now, and a bit of water pipe put in its place to join the 2 pipes back together

There's a shelf built into the ac model lid that is your glovebox

It comes out with the front lid ive done it on mine.

No pics, on the lid at the bottom there are 2 hinges, in the hinges are 2 little plastic inserts that push out, then seperate the lid from the box, and do the reverse when fitting non a/c lid.
