I've just had my boiler replaced and at the same time had it moved into the hallway.
I'd like to box it into a cupboard but I don't just want a single cupboard on the wall as it would look stupid.
I'd like something like this, but ideally a floor to ceiling corner cupboard (so basically the same as this pic but a corner version).
Any idea how much that might cost?

wouldn't cost much at all really if you know anyone who's good at a bit of DIY.
could always get sharps (i think) in and ask them to give you a quote. i think they are free.

Have a go yourself, why not.
Just finish it with the same skirting in the room and fit coving if you already have it! Will make it look miles neater

a_j - that is an awesome idea. I was going to finish my bespoke wardrobe built from scratch but that is a mahoosive time saver. Probably not a lot more expensive given the price of timber from DIY shops!

Here's the dilemma, the location of the boiler has ruined my plans a bit, not got much choice though, it has to go where it is.
The door in the pic is the front door, obviously I would like the door to the cupboard on the left as you come in, but also need to access the front of the boiler.
Anyone got any bright ideas? Excuse the mess, boiler hasn't been finished yet

Box it in with a door for access then selve underneath, I would say it's all doable with 18mm MDF.
Then as I say, finish it at the bottom with skirting and then do the coving at the top. You can buy a coving mitre box to help with that

Buy all materials from a local builders mechants, get a cash account it's easy and will save you a fair bit

Build a full height cupboard with storage underneath for shoes / Hoover / brollies etc. Good selling point for the future too.

Here are my grand plans, so as you come in through the front door and look to the left, it will just look like a built in storage unit with a tall cupboard on the left and then some low shoe storage cupboards running under the window (the ones you pull down and put your shoes in neatly).
But there will also be a hidden access door to get to the front of the boiler (shown in red). The boiler is shown in blue.

I thought that. I don't know what the heating engineer would have to say about that.
Alternatively I could have the low bit built as a separate unit that isn't attached so you can just move it.

It's not going to be massively deep, so it probably wouldn't be that bad to lean over it.

Update - finally had it done. Opted for a very simple cupboard in gloss white and very pleased with the result.

I had the choice of a handle but I chose to have push-to-close as I think it looks pretty smart like that.

Yeh I might do the skirting/coving at some point.
With regards to boiler location, they have changed the regulations so you can't run a flue through the ceiling without inspection hatches all the way along the ceiling where the flue is. This means you have to put the boiler on an outside wall. As I live in a flat, that location is the only place I could put it.

I would skirt it and cove it and then paint the panels to match the walls to 'mask it'. Having no handle works well and would make it look like a structural part as opposed to a cupboard
