its too easy on a wheel, but it might be terrible to drive sports soft on a pad. 
i had to go out, well have to go out to get some info for my engine so ill be gone a couple hours.

Its all about throttle control with the sport tyres, Try the hard comfort ones if you think they are bad!

i found the nascar ones quite easy for some reason :S
i think if you disable ABS it doesnt bog the car down through the corners.

They were all easy, including that one, just had some mental block over doing it for some reason.

I as you say it's all about throttle control and smoothness when conering with then tires. It's near on impossible to even get close to you with a pad.
Maybe that's the answer to a fair race for the big races. Pad users have racing soft. Wheel users have sports?

3rd is best I can get too. Proper hard. Even tried turning TC and ABS on, it actually made it slower

on the lotus challenge set your brake bias to the front, that will stop the back end coming out under braking

I've started tackling the licences now, trying to get all golds! Got all gold bar one in B licence. Can't get the 207 GTi one at Tsukabua, tried for bloody ages
Will start the next licence this aft  , nothing to do today

I've got one silver on B and 4 silvers on A to sort then I'll have all golds
That Tskabua one is horrible though Tried a tons of times but finally got gold yesterday. Had to turn TC and driving line off and have manual gears. Although I expect that's how yours is anyway as you have a wheel iirc?
I hate the last one on the A license, people keep hitting me and then I get DQ'd
