Mine is on the power limit and 1112kg. Put diff, box, suspension and other bits on it but just can't manage it  Haven't actually finished one race yet tbh, keep coming out of it to play with settings.
How have you set yours up, Chris? Mine slides everywhere

Did you install the optional file? That makes it quicker to load everything. It means waiting a while for it to install initially, but will be worth it 
Most people seemed to start out with the EK Civic or an MX-5 from Used Cars

i bought a new MX5 to start with..

- Fully custom transmission (set to 193mph)
- Sports Intake Manifold + Racing Air Filter
- Sports ECU + Stage 2 Engine Tuning (394 HP)
- Catalytic converter + Titanium Semi-racing exhaust
- Fully custom Suspension (Ride Height -20/-20, Springs 16.0/6.3, Dampers 10/5, 10/5, ARB 4/4, camber 2.0/2.0, toe 0/0)
- Twin clutch plates + Carbon propeller shaft + Semi-racing flywheel
- Brakes set to 8/9
- Tyres were Sports Hard as standard
- ABS 1, TC 0, SRF off, ASM off, Driving line off
- MOST IMPORTANTLY - painted the car Matte Yellow
I know it's a great deal of cash to spend, but I wanted the car anyway due to amazing fun had in GT5 Prologue, I wanted it in yellow, and I wanted a souped up one regardless. This was a perfect excuse and bloody hell it was all very necessary to win this race.
What you will find is that if you're getting a good deal out of the car you should be running 1'00.xxx laps all the way through, best lap here was 1'00.000 but 59s are easily do-able even without Skid Recovery, ASM, TCS etc. You will typically knock about 3 seconds per lap off the leading Skyline and on lap 10 he catches the Fairlady Z backmarker that slows him down a LOT and you will make up much more time on Lap 10. On the exit of the corner that leads onto the back straight on lap 10 I got really out of shape and on the grass, but still managed to re-pass the SKyline into the last corner.

Is there anything that needs setting when using a wheel?
I simply plugged it in and i have been driving away.
Makes a huuuuge difference to the times i have been getting. I could only manage 3rd just on that cr-z event. Managed 2nd sitting on 1st bumper on my first go at it with a wheel. Had i not hit a wall on the last lap id have won it no problems.

go to options and set the wheel to simulation / professonal (which ever is the bottom option)
then set the FFB to 8 - 10

It's dinner in literally 5 mins so I'll try it out after. Didn't know there were settings on the aero parts  I thought they just did their thing
Other than the rigidity, windows and matte yellow, I have the exact same mods
One question though, how come you set the transmission so high? Does that stop it from sliding everywhere? I set mine to 155 iirc to accelerate faster.
