Glad you all had fun it was pretty shit for me lol
Got destroyed on the first corner. Missed the pit so had to do another lap at Max of like 50!!
Then when Chris first lapped me I got hit bad again. My wheel was 90 degrees off center all the while.
I was putting in consistent 1.54 laps but never got close to anyone to over take again. So wasn't any action for me

sorry to hear that dan, i guess it just comes down to luck at that first corner, i made sure i was ok by sitting at the very back for a lap or too then slowly making my way back up the pack.
maybe next time you will have more luck, but you aught to try practise the track, it helps
1'54's arnt that bad considering you didnt practise at all.

Perhaps my initial incident with kipper at the end of qualifying killed it for my karma.
I heard him saying he was near the end of his lap and can u wait for him. I was already on my way back to pits and saw him coming. I thought it would be funny. I was close to tears i was laughing so hard.

The thing is, i was racing my arse off, trying to catch up. I was constitant as hell, i dont think i was ever more than a second or 2 slower than 1.54 and was never faster.
I cannot see where i can make the time up. In a couple of the qualifying laps, i was slightly quicker in the first sector than the 1.47, but after that it decreased bad.
WOuld having my wheel set on the middle of the simulation/pro setting and on feedback 5, rather than the 8-10 suggested make any difference?
I forgot i had changed it back to default to help me be able to drive the redbull car.
:/

needs to be set on simulation.
ffb on 5 will just make it feel lighter, possibly less feeling through the wheel.
track knowledge is what you lacked.

May have been me...
I got a slight clip on the left front (I was prob 3rd last at this point as I braked very early). Because of the side on bash I was shunted out on the the grass at the second corner (continuation of 1st really)...
I have the replay so I'll have a gander. Should be able to tell by car colours etc.
Mine was the minging green with yellow wheels and BGW

you should be able to change the settings, but if its not on the list of wheels you might have to guess which of the wheels will change your settings
eg. for the g25 / g27 you have to use driving force pro.
ive just got 60 pics from the replay, just uploading them atm.

I just dont see heavy damage making anyone's race more enjoyable
Light damage is acceptable as it penalises you but repairs itself, but heavy damage = race over, especially when there's a bit of lag at the start of the race.
I don't think in GT5 I've ever felt glad that heavy damage is on. It's always a feeling of 'what a pain in the arse' - whether it's me who's got damaged or the person i was having a good race with.
