knowing you have heavy damage forces you to drive more sensibly as it 'could' potentially kill the race for you.
if you know if will just repair itself there is nothing worrying about diving in or braking just that little bit later.
as it turned out there was quite alot of pitting due to damage but it effected everyone equally.

was good last night, but i found myself on my own for most of the race in 5th - 3rd place untill i got sloppy (was doing consistant 1.48 for laps 3 to about 10 then started making silly mistakes and jamie and GSi Ire and daveskater (i think) caught me up. Right towards the end had a few laps with AK but he was a lapee then shunted him Very Very hard on the final lap on the first corner!
Like i said tho - good fun would have possibly been better on a slightly shorter track
And the two post race races were funny with the RM'd elises round Tsukuba

How many times did you have to pit to get repaired?

I took a few pics from my replay but couldnt see any contact with me at the first corner. But i did get damage (red box outline inside the wheel) from something. Externally the car was spotless but I pitted on the first lap as it was pulling badly to one side.
I pitted once for tyres - so by choice. The other 4 were damage. I think one was my own when I cut the first corner a bit fine and clipped the tyre stack whoopsi

none but i avoided any situation where i could of got damaged.
for example, i was chasing mike down and i came up to lapping wobbo, i went to overtake him but he got defensive and he started to block me, so instead of trying to barge past i dropped back and waited until he got the the last corner where i thought he might fuck up so just over took him then, i lost 12 seconds doing so but would of lost more in the pits.
the damage effects everyone the same, i just chose not to be aggressive.

naa, nobody touched you here, your tyres looked pretty shot and you was spinning about all over, this was the last lap even when you passed the start the AI driver couldnt drive it aswell and he span it twice lol

If thats after the last lap then yeh - his car is knackered from our shunt!! I had to finish the race with engine and front suspension damage - somehow got into the pits by mistake and finished the race in the pits!

I bloody enjoyed it! Was very good fun.
Other than i was just getting left behind.... even when doing laps where i was perfectly online i was still doing just under 2 min laps.
Coming out of corners, up the straights it was like i wasn't fully accelerating or something!
Frustrating..... this picture sums my race up

That was an amazing race last night lads, I qualified 3rd, and stayed in the top 3 for the first lap, but had picked up a puncture, i was slowly caught up by Daveskater who i was battling with for the next couple of laps iirc we both made some silly mistakes and had both picked up another puncture which forced us to pit lap4 or 5.
this lost me about 4 places and over 30 seconds behind meant i had to start getting things right.
for the next 10 or so laps i was setting late 1'49s with the odd 1'48 then slowing down to 1'52s when my tyres were shot. i was slowly gaining and working my way back through the pack. came very close to 4th place towards the end but a stupid mistake when battling jamie (following his late braking ) meant i locked up and slid into the tyre wall on the first corner, picking up suspension & engine damage i was forced to pit again.
I finished 7th iirc and know i could do a lot better if i stay consistant and watch out for the silly mistakes
Very enjoyable and looking forward to the next one!!
I think it would be great to stick with the mx5's it makes for a close and interesting race
Some great photo's there chris, mines the red with red pinstripe wheels

I think a suzuki cappuccino race would be funny - all RM'd would have to be short tracks tho - autumn ring mini - Tsukuba etc..

Yea no worried chris, missus decided she wanted to go out shopping, so i had to log off.
Whos racing tonight? If there is enough people it would be good to sort another 20 lapper or something. Even if its the same as last night. Make it much more fun than playing a spec 24/7
Ill be about from 4.30
