Wouldnt be surprised if the government brought cameras out for traffic which travelled to slow

My mate got done doing 33 in a 30 3 points 60 quid fine i think the main reason they fined him was cause he was a 17 yr old driving a 1.8T Ibiza so they probably thought he raced around all the time but he dont wish he would though

and you know the best thing about these plates is:
headlights make them blackout, so as soon as you have a copper driving behind you at night your fucked.

The plates are a load of shite! We wouldn't stock them no matter how many people ask us 4 them as they dont work.

I got caught a month or so back, coming down a hill, doing about 36-37. Didnt want to sit on my brakes all the way down the hill, and the road was empty, they had only put the speed camera signs up about 2 days earlier after an accident at the bottom of the road which involved 2 people racing at stupid speeds and crashing into a lad walking up the street. Now it pissed me off a lot, I couldnt see the mobile camera team as they had hidden the van behind a bus stop and he was stood so it was difficult to see him behind the people waiting for a bus.
Now thats the kind of thing that annoys me, its not like I was doing a stupid speed, I didnt even have my foot on the accelerator was just letting it roll in 4th.
I am all for evading the scum of the government trying to catch people for breaking the limit, and I mean "just" breaking it, not nailing it along at 60 in a 30, doing less than 40 in a 30.
You can get a screen now that sits over your plate, its powered and at the flick of a switch the screen goes black, completly blocking the numberplate, also because you choose when its on you dont get caught when a pig is behind you, down side is it wont automatically block out when you go past a camera, yet if you know a camera is coming you can block it and go through.
Still, if you are carefull you can just slow down for gatso's and then speed up after, or if you wanna drive fast get yourself down some country lanes. You would still get caught by mobile camera's no matter what kind of evasion you try to use, if they cant see your plate they can still get you on the distingushing features of the car.

dunno what you mean by that i mean i drive a white escort LX there are probably tens of thousands in the uk how could they distinguish that it was me if they dont see the plates?
but i agree with ur point about being caught by being few mph over the limit its just petty
You know the most common thing said to a copper now is "why dont you go find a real criminal"
true fact

i seem to remember a tv prog that had a feature on antiflash plates and the copper with his fancy p.c showed how he reversed the pic to get the plate from the pic.!Anyway why dont u get a proven device like a radar detector or one of those gizmo's that knows where all the gatso's are, after all they are legal to own!

slightly off topic but eh..
was reading a paper article in an F1 shop the other day a man got done for having an almost flat battery and his washer bottle was empty.
coppers came round to his house and did some surprise random inspection, seeing as the man had nothing to hide he let them do it and they searched his car for about half an hour and thats all they could find, he was fined maximum and 3 points on his license, he thought it was some candid camera joke.
now thats fucking petty!!

just wonder mate, if you can explain a bit more about how they dont work ?? " dont work " as in dont work with gatso flash ?? as have seen them demonstrated myself with normal digital camera flash and they deffinately did not appear in the final photo !!! but guess its down to wheather or not they work with gatso cameras ?? and they dont seem to have a big following !! so guess not !!
cheers for the advice anyway,
john....

as said above any light that shines on them blanks them out, wether its sunlight or car headlights, you will get more points and fines for having them driving at the speed limit than if you get caught speeding without them.

I agree wiv godess. i've seen the same prog and once the peeler (policeman) showed the negative it was completely clear and easy to read. At the end of the day, if there really was a way to beat these things dont ya think the government would be one step ahead of us anyway! They do hav some smart cookies workin for them afterall!
