ive got a GeForce FX 5600 with a p4 2.6 ghz, 1gig ram etc and im well happy with it! i run all the games with graphics on maximum, also running a 1280x1024 resolution and it flies! never used a ATI but i can vouch for my 5600!

9800 pro. People dont see to realise that the fx's arent support in new games coming out. See if you can play half life 2 also get 128mb version refresh rates are slower on 256

yes ATi are better than Geforce, thats why i have the 9800XT 256mb DDR and not the Geforce 5950, simply cos the radeon is better

geforce 4 ti's were nvidias best card, ati have taken over,
plus ati have much clearer 2d images, with text also much more defined.

i just got a geforce xfx 5700 256mb in my new system.
seems well decent to me, but i don't have much to compare against, and i've not played any big games yet

Im sorry but recently i have built two machines, both same spec execept for graphics card and case.
My sisters machine (built first) has a Geforce FX 5700 8X with 128 smegs of DDR.
Mate specifically requested he wanted a ATI Radeon 9600XT with 128 smegs of DDR.
My mates graphics absolutely blew my sisters away.
