I was looking for some incriminating evidence that tied him to a crime he was committing. I found it in his basement and stole it.
I also took the time to pick the lock to his bedroom but there wasn't anything of much value in there, some gold and a repair hammer.

there are methods but it can be quite tricky...
I tend to just bounce the tumbler until I see it move slowly up into place, then hit the A button to lock it there. If it moves up quickly i don't bother...
Takes a bit of practice though.
I have spells to open Very Easy, Easy and Average locks unfortunately my Illusion skill is not high enough so can't cast them

Ryan the game is of IMMENSE it really is.
It's the closest thing you'll get to living a virtual life imo. You're free to do whatever you do in the game and your character moulds depending on the actions you take.
Which reminds me, I contracted a nasty disease off a vampire. I really need to get that sorted...

OMG unless you sort that within like 2 days by praying at a chapel its a pain in the arse to get rid of, massive long quest

I got it before and my fatigue was drained, I drank the cure disease potion and all was well.
Where can I go to make sure I get rid of it? Any of the chapels?

I like the character development the best. If you go around killing people or doing quests that involve stealing etc then your character will change to reflect this. People won't like you and perhaps won't divulge as much information when you need them to. You'll pay more gold for items in shops also.
Whereas if you do good things and help people out, your fame will increase and people will love you .

I agree Steve.
I did a quest recently where I had to convince a town that a prophecy was coming true I slaughtered all their sheep and put some cheese in a pot so it attracted a shoot load of rats
