Is the property Free/Leasehold? If it's leasehold she would have had to ask the permission of the freeholder to carry out an alteration of this nature and if she has such permission it going to be difficult the change it back

In that case I'd tear the fence down and take a Sthil Saw to the path until it's back within it's site lines, if you own it there cant be grounds for any come back surely?

Alternatively you could take the sensible route and respectfuly ask that she arranges for works to be carried out so that the path and fence does not infringe on your property. It looks like a tidy job and it would be a shame to waste

dont know what you had planned for your garden mate but if i were you i'd get the guy back who did their garden and get him to move the fence over to the right. Then get him to continue the block paving further into your garden to fill that area that is just soil at the mo. you could have that as i little patio area then.

Bit of a pointless fence, blockwork looks ok though, i'd put some small garden furniture on it

Seriously though it's much wider than needed and you would be well within your rights to either remove the fence all together or move it back to one metre.

Fair point but id still keep the fence, just move it over to the right. Its not like he can do anything with that bit of land anyway as its not his so may aswell have it fenced off to keep it separate from the parts that he does own.

as for the block paving i'd deffo carry it on and fill that soiled area. if you look at it, his neighbours have already paid for a 3rd of the area so it wont be much to finish it off.

On reading this again i'd do one of the above ideas for commedy value.

Move the fence back to exactly where it should be, then put a bbq or something on your side of it.

Maybe even thank them for giving you somewhere solid to put it.
