ok i understand now.

basicaly run some of the vaccume hosing from the MAP sensor to the manifold
Then run another bit from the one way valve on the break vacume hose to the FPR and t piece it off to the Tank vent valve.

also is the Air tempreture sensor where is that plugged in or have you plugged it in at all? as this may cause the problem also

It's plugged into the pipe
Between the TB and the airbox. It's not an airtight seal though as pipe is too thick. Would that cause the probelm?

mine isn't ether mate but its cosha,
Here you said you split the loom so the egr is still plugged in.. Umm the black and white wire is spliced onto the throttle body loom, if you've disconected this part of the loom your going to need to run a wire to both of them to join it back up as the egr will not be working which will cause your problems.

it doesn't get blanked off, i plate goes over with an outlet, this outlet is connected to the powerbox by a copper tube.

try looking at what i said about the splice as its spliced into the tps wiring you just need to solder another wire to join them back up and it should be all ok.. also did you kink the coper tube?

the copper tube isn't kinked no

im not ure what you mean about the EGR/TPS/IAC wiring. i just pulled the EGR wiring out of the loom as mentioned in warren gs guide, so why do i need to add another wire?

well on my gls there was a splice off the tps wiring that is joined onto the egr wiring, check the plug on the egr to see if there is a wire that has been disconected as it does sound like the egr isn't working right! Umm do a paper clip test and see if it say's egr then i am prity sure that this wire is your problem

its worth checking mate, then try getting some 3mm hose so you can do the piping as the piping isn't the best stuff which flame sends to you. Tends to easely come away from the T pieces when they get warm

right i think im going to blank my EGR off and see if that solves the problem!

1. with the plug that is plugged into the EGR, i've heard people say leave it plugged in, but plugged into what as im removing it?

2. reckon this might help? i've been reading threads and people who have similar symtoms are doing this and its solving them

Woot snowed in no work for me today leave the egr in place but fit a gasket under it the same shape as the base of egr , and keep plugged in, this will stop any gases getting into the egr, if your eml still comes on try cleaning out the egr with carb cleaner etc.

right found one of the welds was sitting on the lower inlet preventing a good seal, so ive grinded it off and reattached the inlet

now all im left with is an appauling idle, and the same problem of my EML comnig on over 3000rpm.

also if i remove any one of my spark plug leads it affects the idle in no way, that isnt right is it

paper clip test it and see what it says, even if the light goes out after you turn the car off then back on it will still store the code.

and if you pull the ht leads off and it is still not running right then whip the plugs out and check that the thing is sparking properly

well ive paperclip tested it and i got fault code
1120 = TPS sensor

i unplugged the TPS and turned car on to find that it runs just as crap, confirming its deadness.

So i rung up Vaux and the guy (my uncle so a reliable source!) said my symtoms were exactly what a failed TPS would cause

So im chuffed but £40 down oh well!!
