I think they should do cross platform gaming a la shadowrun, but with the 360/pc/ps3.

360 vs PS3 would and could work. If both sides of the equation weren't so stubborn.

Yeah would work, worked on shadowrun, just they wouldnt as people wouldnt buy both then.

Couldn't care less about blu ray, don't use wireless connection on my Xbox and don't care about paying for the online service.

Probably, I do watch blurays though and the wifi is built in, but 360 has better games. Still a toughie, probs still get both.

have both as well...x box chipped so never goes on line..ps3 for blu rays and on line play...did notice how long 360 take to load games forza seems to take ages...

For a laugh, Wii. Best with mates and beer too. Mario Kart, Olympics etc.
I prefer the simplicity of the Puss3's pick up and play in that its ready to play online, plus I've always had Playstations and like the feel of the controller. Then theres the Uncharted games and dare I say it, GT 
I've just bought an Elite (I also have an original XBox) and although I never really got on with the XBox, it all felt foreign compared to the PS2! I decided to get the 360 as theres a few exclusives that look pretty good and its the only way I'll get to play them. Plus it was £60 cheaper than the retail price so was rude not to!
I'm not keen on having to buy the wireless network adaptor and paying for Live, the no charging controllers is a pain (I have a charger owning a Wii so not a big problem)
Between the PS3 and 360, connection issues a side, I think it comes down to wether you're a Forza or GT fan and then the exclusives like Halo, Left 4 Dead, InFamous, Little Big Planet etc.
If you can afford to, buy both.

I've been pissing my mates off with the PS3.. because I prefer the feel of the 360 controller, I bought the trigger buttons for the ps3 and always set the button layout to default flipped on COD
Out of interest for when I get the xbox in the new year, how much do they rob you for going online? And how much to convert it to wireless?

tbh I've always been a sony fan, had the odd nintendo here & there, and laso ahd the first xbox i just hated it, the controllers, big & bulky, wasn't for me. So i stuck to teh Playstation. Easier controls not as half bulky (imo), and don't have to pay to play online.
However I think it's a good thing that they both have different 'apps'. I.e Xbox has sky, & msn. PS3 has facebook & iPlayer.

I like both consoles, both have ups and downs.
Went with the Xbox because it has a better range of games *cough* Halo *cough*
its funny when there is an arguement about which is better and they always come out with both being put down

Always had Playstations so used to that particular controller and think I have all the games I would want for it at the moment so wouldn't gain anything by having an Xbox. Maybe Forza would be good but I'm not buying one just for that when I can wait 10 years for the next Gran Turismo
