This is insane!!! Love the way you are just obliterating every room and building it back up forms cratch
One question tho, why did you go for a flat (ground floor of all things, where youre so at other peioples mercy) and not go for a house? seems youre doing so much work here that you could have done a house and been set up for life

Soooo, having more plastering done in the next few weeks so I thought I should update this before hand!
Finally moved in on the 13th of December!!!
Did this before hand...
Kitchen tap fitted:
Wood worm treated, absolute shite job!!!
Rads fitted and piped up! Never done anything like that before, was quite easy TBH!
Moved in (6mm ply fitted to stop draft and to even the floors up:
She painted the pine furniture up...
Temp lounge as the main one is full of shit!
Got some carpet off cuts for now whilst the rest of it is waiting to be plastered...
Mrs wanted some cats!
Built a shed base a few weeks aqo, dug out a tree and far to much soil! Ended up being about 12-16" deep and 2 ton of concrete! Could build house on it!
1 ton of ballast in the back
And finally...got a bit carried away on my 24th birthday in February...New house and all that
Hence getting all the plastering done now and getting it finished in time before it arrives!
My new shed is due tomorrow so the plan is to empty the main lounge of all the shit, pool table e.t.c. into the shed, and move all the stuff from the dining room and temp lounge into the main lounge freeing up the those two rooms and hallway for plastering.
Will get the main lounge done once the other rooms are done

As I was still on my starting wage I could really afford any more than £140k on my own. But set my budget at £125k as I didnt want to pay stamp duty. Even for £140k down my way will get you a shit small house in a shit area with a small garden than I have now without a driveway. With this, its big, two bathrooms, driveway, half decent size garden + the shared one and I still have my own front door. Would 100% rather have a house though

B&Q shed buit. Shocking quality but will do for now...
Full of shit already!
Cleared up the main lounge and ready to have all the other rooms/hallways plastered
Bricked up a bit of wall that I accidentally knocked down
Made a start in the shower room:
2nd bedroom/Nursery now ready for plastering:
Made a start on the lounge - will move table/tank/boards/rad out tomorrow after work:
Feels like im going backwards! Not forwards

thats some funky pipework for the shower tray, why didn't you just use a bit of flex?

Ermmm dunno!
I needed it a bit higher to raise it slightly so thought that would be the best way!
I guess flex would have been easier but I needed the trap to be fixed in place from underneath, so when I dropped the tray on top it was in the correct place and I could screw it up from the top!

How does it work with the garden then? Does everyone in the building have a garden of some description or was this a bonus of yours?

Mine and the other ground floor flat have gardens, which go onto the shared garden. All the flats above me have access to the shared garden from the side of the house which is a bit of a mission, so it never gets used! Bit of a result for me

Rooms emptied out (temp carpet & boards off):
2nd room/Nursery partially plastered yesterday:
Also gave the shower room 3 coats of paint yesterday:
Plasterer will be back a week tomorrow for the week, to finish the bedroom, hallways and dining room/3rd bedroom.
Still amazed at plastering and how much difference/bigger it looks. Nice and echoy now its sealed up/no gaps in the soundboard.

I bought that shed last year, it's utter dog shit. water gets in the top of the door.
Quality of work on the flat looks top notch, can't wait to get my own place bought and get started on it
