I'd love to be a designer for Samsung, must be the easiest job in the world. Just go on Apples website and copy everything they've got

Not as easy as apple, don't do anything at all, just leave the current one to the marketing department.

and i agree, but at the end of the day, a computer that is basically mounted to a piece of glass, is hard to spice up much and make that different.

Exactly, hence similarities. And if you wan to head down that road of who 'stole' what then you could say Apple nabbed the ideas from Microsoft Tablet prototype/HP Compaq tablet - the iPad looks very similar ie: rounded corners; one feature Apple apparently pioneered .
The only slightly cop-out i can see is the dock connector but Samsung aren't alone, there are a handful of manufacturers that use a similar size/shape connector like Sansa.

i think if the 4 stays it will only be available in one colour, like when the 8gb 3gs was released alongside the 4.

Based on CAD designs, hardware components, several leaked hints, cases and recent, believable mockups we created a three-dimensional computer model. This virtual model was then used to build a very detailed, true prototype that you can hold in your own two hands.
The process to create this prototype is the same that’s used to create the iPad. The back was machined from a sold block of aluminium, which was later treated with glass pearls to get the same slightly rough touch that we already know from the iPad.

Love it but not likely to happen this time round.
Could that thin case that turned up be for the new touch?

o2 recycle are currently offering £266 for an iphone 4 16GB.
I think i'll be doing that as opposed to trying to get a few more ££ of ebay.
£266 aint a bad price and it'll save dealing with idiots on ebay.
With the recycle program, you can sign up now to that price, which is valid for 30 days. If the price drops when the new iphone is announced, you've still got the £266.
If the price goes up, you sign up again

Always prefer the recycle route for 2 reasons. Normally quite good value. One you add ebay + paypal feeds £266 is easily a £300 aution price.
AND they only want the phone so you get to keep the headphones and charger leads etc. and don't have to make sure the box is in pristine condition etc.
My guess is the new "sleek" iPhone is actually the new iPod touch rather than the iPhone

The Mrs said she will buy my white one off me for £350 if they announce a redesigned one next week, otherwise I'll keep it. I'd like to think there will be a redesigned 5 (or the call the 4S, iPhone 5) just so they can say,
"Here is our new A5 chip, new iOS 5, and new 5th generation iPhone called the iPhone 5."
Also,
'According to 9to5Mac the upcoming "N94" next generation iPhone is being stocked by Apple in 3 different capacities. They are interpreting this to mean that the next generation iPhone will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. However the three different sizes could conceivably be 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB.'
