The iphone 5 is amazing.
Compared it against the galaxy s2 and the 5 makes it look dated in terms of looks and spec.

16mp camera? What's the point other than a sales gimic? Digital camera makers have admitted there is pretty much no point having more than 8-10.

i still think there wont be a 5, there will be a 4s and a new ipod touch, the touch will then form the basis for the next iphone.
i really hope im wrong as i have waited a year to upgrade

From everything I've read recently it seems to be more and more likely what Nismo says. The new iPhone will be a 4S and this device with a larger screen is a new iPod Touch.

I can see a LOT of people being disappointed if they release a phone thats not that much better than the current 4.

Snap I'm due for upgrade literally as this new one comes out. Part of me thinks I should wait till the next iPhone if this turns out to be a 4S and not a 5 but I really want a new phone now
