I'm buying my ps3 when gt comes out.
If I was buying any just now it would be a wii tbh.
Only one that i've thought thats actually quite good.
The other ones are same old same old with better graphics.

another point, yes the 360 may be louder, but who plays games with the sound so low you can hear it? i sure as hell don't.

Noise? Noise?? Who gives a fuck. When my 5.1 is rattling out gun fire noises from Rainbow Six I can't hear my phone ring let alone a disc whirring in the drive.

its not the dvd drive that makes the noise, its the cpu's cooling fan. the big fucker working over time.

Yes, it is the DVD drive, not the fans. The fans spin no faster in game than they do on the dashboard, so if its the fans then why is it louder in games than on the dashboard?

There are two fans under the white plastic which is the source of the noise. there quite small and are working very hard. Possibily the issue why these 360's over heat.

They dont over heat the problem with the early consoles is they had no fan in the Power supply which then got hot and gave up.

my brothers xbox overheats and has crashed a couple of times. He's only had it since Feb. Thats hardly one of the early consoles. but this is just one xbox. you've got to concider everyone
