Well the game surely will only be able to operate to the lowest restriction, all the coding and the engine etc will have to be made to run on slower hardware.

If they just wrote it for the PS4 the entire engine and graphics could have been written to take advantage of the better hardware.

As it stands its going to be the same game with perhaps some higher res textures in my opinion

I don't think they've ever confirmed a PS4 release.

All I've read is that it's a possibility, but nothing is set in stone so far.

Better from a performance and graphics point of view.

The PS3 and 4 have completely different architecture, so there's not really a chance that a ported PS3 game is ever going to take full advantage of the PS4's hardware.

Like I said before though, surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to just focus on a ps3 release?

Why not?

It's going to take half a decade before there are more PS4's than PS3's so they're developing for the larger of two segments. There's nothing stupid about that.

Simply because if Sony released a console, then developers focus on games development for the previous console, then it would be a step backwards? I don't think they developed games for the PS2, then worried about the ps3 game later after the ps3 was released, more like develop the game for the more powerful console then retard it for the previous console to cover all bases, surely?

Completely agree, and I'd bet that Polyphony already has a team looking at developing games for the PS4.

The sales from GT6 will likely be huge though, and I'd imagine that they've spent a fraction in development compared to GT5 as, let's be honest, it's the same game, so it's going to be a cash cow for Polyphony and Sony, which in turn will help with future developments.

Feels pretty much the same as 5, just the cars have a bit more body roll.

played the demo with the g25 wheel and it felt great, loads different from gt5. would imagine it will be harder to notice playing with a pad.

What the hell is that guy on about?
"Transferring the code to PS4 is a no go"
Then a few lines down:
"Why don't they release it on both platforms?"

Is that thing meant to be a joke? I can't even tell.

I do seriously wonder how long the launch will be delayed this time round. What was the reason for such a long delay on GT5?

That sucks, it would be awesome to have the Porsche range in there, like the GT3 etc. wonder why they have kept out the franchise?

You asked why they were kept out of the franchise. The answer is, that EA bought the sole rights to use Porsche in their games.

Ah right, I didn't know that, I didn't really understand Chris's answer that's all. Which racing games do EA make out of interest?
