This is what I'm struggling to understand. If it looked different but had the same specs all these pissed off people would be fine with it.
As I see it they upgraded what needed to be upgraded and left alone what didn't.

apple is a lot about image to a lot of people, if they cant lord it over everyone else with their obviously new and expensive phone then its not worth it. too much effort to tell everyone its a 4S every time you get it out

I'd have been happy with the teardrop design or even the iPod touch design, with A5, 8mp camera and iOS5 with Siri.
Looks like that will be the iPhone 5 though with the A6 chip and iOS6 next Summer. Which by that time all the quadcore android phone phones will have been around 6 months.
I'm starting to wonder if 'S' stands for stopgap.
I know nothing about Android phones, is the Nexus Prime going to be the top of the range when it gets announced next week?

From £499... likely £569 for the 32Gb and £639 for the 64Gb or something.

Think its been confirmed at £500, £600 and £700 respectively.
Just installing jailbroken iOS5 on my iPhone 4, will then just wait for Siri

But they're not stupid either, they're keeping the iphone 4 expensive in comparison, so you may as well go 4s.

What a load of fucking toss. I've been waiting and waiting for the iPhone 5 as I'm still on the 3GS.
I'm tempted to move to an Android based phone but the iPhone integrates with stuff so well, my Apple TV and my car stereo to name a couple.

Haha Im stuck at the bargaining stage
What time can you preorder tonight? Is it 121 or usually more like 31? Might pre order one to give me some more time to think it over, can always give it a whirl and take it back if I'm not impressed.

Let your contracts run out and get a GiffGaff SIM for your iPhone 4's. Save lots of money

I bloody hope they are cheeper, there is no reason for them to be more expencive is there?
Surely over a year of making the 4, they have found a way to bring costs down!
Ahh well!

Ahh well!
They will have saved production costs but then by putting in the newer chips, paying Siri company etc they will have eaten away at it.
I would expect it to be priced the same although I suspect the 32G model will be fractionally cheaper than it was
