This is unbelievably slow to do anything, I press a button and it just doesn't do anything for 30 seconds or even a minute sometimes Something isn't right here, I'm only doing simple things like looking at the cars in my garage and it's just not doing anything

You need to get up to level 4 before you can unlock the Top Gear track. Doesn't take long doing the licenses

As I said a second ago, it seems like it relies on a connection to the gran turismo servers, even on the offline GT Life stuff.
I've been playing it all day and it's been fine. When it got to about 5:30-6pm the game (offline) started getting slow for me. By about 9pm I was getting constant 'failed to connect to server' when just moving around the GT Life menus.
... When I tried to play online it wouldn't load a single server
So ultimately the slowness will be based on that.
- I'm getting up at 8am tommorrow to crack on when the servers will be empty

the programming clearly tries to sync to their servers which is overloaded
I just created a B-Spec driver... strangely there were 2 'Butler' drivers suggested to me. I may turn off the sound and image and just let it start lapping on bspec
Do you win money on bspec too chris?

Basically you 'hire' a driver to race for you in your car. You order him about like tell him to push harder etc.
That driver then levels up and gets better over time.
The only real point of it is if you have a major endurance race, you can use your bspec drivers to drive some of the race for you. e.g. a 1 hour race, you could drive into the lead in a few laps and then hand it over to the bspec driver.
