They only thing I wish they had was a micro SD slot.
MicroSD storage is massively cheaper in comparison.

The price difference between the 16GB & 32GB on an contract Orange is ridiculous. Extra memory doesn't cost that much

updated price comparison:

... since when did it become ok to spend £1000 + over 18 months on phone. I think that's more than my car insurance and tax combined.

Great link, cheers paul.
Im not sure what to do, i could go for the 12 month one and save £, or could go for the 18 and not have to spend so much for the phone.
I just dont want in a years time the 5 to come out, then i have to wait another 6 months to get it!
Infact, i can upgrade early anyway couldnt i? So i can get it whenever its out anyway right?

Why are you so bothered about getting the 5? Just go for 24 months and get the inevitable 5S that'll be out in 2 years time (if you really want to stay with an iPhone by then anyway)

Is my prediction!
£300 for 8gb 4
Right on 4S but miles out on 8gb 4, can't even get a 8gb 3GS for £300!
Apple tax, charge what you want people still going to buy them!
Memory costs fuck all at the moment, how they can justify £200 for extra 48gb is beyond me!

I dont know why i am
I like to stay up to date, thats the only reason tbh!
I think ill just be going for the 18 tbh, in the middle. And from what i remember, you can upgrade ure contract 3 months before it ends anyway. Thats IF, the 5 is amazing and completely different

That spreadsheet is interesting.
It would actually cost me £474 MORE to go on a sim only contract for 2 years buying the phone out right than it would to go on a 24 month iPhone contract! Definitely made my mind up to stick to a 24 month contract.

Apple returns policy is good, if your not happy send it back in 14 days get a refund, least this way you can make your mind up
I got no where online so called and placed order.

The sim only contract is 12 months. Actually I need to deduct the cost of a phone for the additional 12 months
£125 cheaper over 12 months for the sim only What a fudge up that was!
So what I had actually worked out was getting a new iPhone every 12 months on a sim only compared to sticking with a 24 month contract and same phone.
In summary:
24 month contract incl. phone price = £1,084
Sim only contract for 24 months incl. phone price = £959
Sim only contract for 24 months incl. phone price + cost of upgrading to a new iPhone after 12 months = £1,558
