Yeah quite surprising. Can't see mine going tbh and sort of made the decision to take it back next week.

Been looking at speed comparisons and photo comparisons, video comparisons and there's not enough in it to make me want to keep it other than Siri which they've pretty much got working on the 4 now anyway.

You'll never take that back. I'll be surprised if you've not opened it by tomorrow night.

If I didn't want Apple TV and hadn't just dropped a new front bumper off at the bodyshop yesterday for the beemer I might have been able to justify it to myself.

Did you just get the same text I did Matt?

'Sorry, but your order has been delayed. We apologize for this inconvenience and will text you a new delivery date shortly'
I await the nationwide sell out news reports soon and a wait for a few weeks for a handset.

I honestly wouldn't have minded, but I told the order to deliver to a store because I thought I could pick it up on Friday / Saturday. However, now this is going to get delivered to the store mid week at some point when I'm at work and I won't be able to go pick it up. What's the whole point of 'pre ordering' something if it offers no guarantee you will get anything on release date

I mean, I could've gone down to a vodafone store without pre ordering and picked one up yesterday, now I have to potentially wait a long time because I pre ordered

The other thing I think people don't realize is that I currently have no phone. My 3gs is broken, so I need this phone asap.

John... how did I end up in this mess? fuck.

No not had any text or email Maybe there's stock available in the North because all t'people are down t'pit & walking whippets

Did you order black/white 16/32 gb?

I got mine delivered to the store as they are more likely to deliver on a Saturday & the store is closer to work than the delivery depot, which it would've needed collecting form after no ones at home to sign for it. Would like to think I'll get mine on Monday but if not I don't care. I'm off to Norway until Friday so it's not like I could use it much anyway

To be honest Robbo, I think you always take my posts a little too seriously

I'm just ranting for the sake of ranting, I'm just saying vodafone suck for a laugh.

I'm not really that bothered, I'll get the phone when I get it, ultimately if I was that bothered about having one before anyone else, I would've been at the front of the queue on Friday. Sarcasm doesn't portray itself too well over text, but just assume all posts I ever make are wrapped in [Sarcasm] tags from now on.

- btw Matt, I ordered a white 16gb and I think that may be the problem. Looking online at o2's stock checker they have plenty of black, but no whites.

also, if you ask anything time related, it replies with "I dont know what time it is <in your local area". a bit annoying.

I dont think it'll be long before they enable the UK stuff. It cant only be limited to USA

fuck it... I went to a shop and picked one up

Told them to reject / cancel my other one if it turns up. Ok so it means I don't have the white one I ordered (they were out of stock) but at least I have one now, and to be honest I had my doubts about the white one.

I did wonder whether Apple were going to strangle supply to help create demand or flood the market to stop people reselling at a profit. Seems they've done the latter. I went into town earlier today and both Vodafone and o2 had stock.
