they are in the top level in a-spec

Bought this last week, I dont know whether its because Im getting older, but no game seems to be able to hold my attention for more than an hour. I owned all the GT's, favourite was between GT2 and GT3.

The last game that held my attention for more than a few hours was forza 2. I bought Forza 3 and it just seemed much of the same so didnt really play it more than a couple of times

Anyone else a bit dissapointed with GT5? the gameplay is as sterile as ever, just seems like your racing for the sake of it, seems like GT4 with a bit of polish. The standard cars dont add anything to the experience, the premium cars do look amazing though. Way too many variants of skyline and RX7's, and only a handful of new cars, wheres the Vauxhall VXR range, or the Focus RS mk2?. Forza's carlist is superb in this respect.

The graphics look awesome at times, but then you see a nice flat poorly textured tree in the distance which you cant take your eye off.

Sound is awful, never has been GT's strong point

Maybe online is more fun? Think this will be the way to play from now on, as single player seems pretty boring, havent played for a couple of days and dont really feel the urge to either.

are you using a wheel or a pad?

if i was on a pad i think i would feel the same tbh.

the wheel, especially the G25 really does add to the game

Pad, Im very tempted to get a wheel just for online racing, as its a pretty one sided affair playing the A.I.

Any other alternatives to the G25 or is that the best wheel?

at the start it is.. but when you get up higher levels the ai gets considerably harder.

alternatives....G27?

there is the porsche fanatec wheel, but you need to buy version 2 for compatabilty with the ps3.

I personally, see the offline as just an aid to pay for me to race online with good cars. It's all about racing online with a wheel

just tried to win the Vitz race and i quit 1.2 way through, shitty BSpec driver

my fucking driver is shite! i give him 60bhp more than anyone else and he still cant even come anything but last! lol

i think he needs alot more training..

but i did see something cool, he has been fighting for position with another driver and the other driver must of gotten pissed off because he rammed my driver and not to get to the racing line either, he was on the inside of a left hander and he turned right into my driver lol
